How The Cowboys Match-Up to the Vikings

We all know of the big divisional week in the playoffs are coming up. Every team is fighting to be the best of their conference. The Cowboys have some major momentum, but is that enough to stop the big bad Vikings, well I guess we will find out on Sunday
The key in this match up is for the Cowboys defense to relentlessly pressure Brett Favre into making incomplete passes. Favre can't get comfortable in the pocket and hit his favorite target Sidney Rice. Outside linebackers of the Cowboys Demarcus Ware and Anthony Spencer have been great at getting pressure on the QB all year, and it would be nice if they can continue that, and make Favre stay on his toes. Ware and Spencer can't let Adrian Peterson get the outside, they have to contian him and shut down the running game right from the start. Nose Tackle Jay Ratliff will most likley get double teamed as that might be an opportunity for middle linebackers Bradie James and Kieth Brooking to bring a very effective blitz. If the Secondary of the cowboys stays physical with the Arsenal of Favre weapons they can prevent the big plays that Favre is all about. I will particularly be keeping my eyes on Dallas cornerbacks Terrance Newman and rookie Mike Jenkins. If the defensive line pressures Favre, the Jenkins and Newman better be prepared for some forced throws, a prime time to intercept any passes.
How about Dallas Offense against Vikings Defense? To me this is a bad matchup right from the line of Scrimage. Dallas has a huge offensive line, the Vikings don't compare to well on their defesive line. Jared Allen is the sackmaster for the Vikings, but he does not see Dallas's offensive line very often, and he too might have a difficult time. Tony Romo needs to make the big plays to Miles Austin to have an effective game. With Miles Austin being covered by the Vikings Secondary as best as they can, Patrick Crayton, Roy Williams, and Jason Witten have proven to be amazing weapons. To me, the most important thing is to get the running game with Marion Barber, Felix Jones, and Tashard Choice going strong right off the bat. That then opens easy opportunities for the big pass plays.
The Cowboys will have to run on all cylinders to effectively play against the ever powerful Vikings. But if Romo doesn't make costly mistakes and Favre vice versa, this could be a winnable games for the Cowboys.
